William Early, Founder and Contributor, Global Envision
Bill Early conceived the Global Envision partnership with Mercy Corps on a visit to Mercy Corps' micro-lending programs in China with Ells Culver, Co-Founder of the organization. He began his world travels on a Navy training cruise in 1955, and he has continued to be an engaged global citizen ever since. Bill was a '58 graduate of Stanford University in History, and received his law degree from Harvard University in '64. His career with Jeld-Wen, Inc., a manufacturer of windows and doors, has spanned over thirty years. During that time, he has focused on the company's international operations in more than 20 countries. Bill is a leader and philanthropist, and he serves his community and church in numerous activities. Bill recently accepted an invitation to join The Bretton Woods Committee, a bipartisan, non-profit group organized to build public understanding of international financial and development issues and the role of the Bretton Woods institutions in the global economy. Bill joins Global Envision Honorary adviser Jeff Garten in this group of 600 prominent citizens. He also serves on the Board of Ambassadors for Mercy Corps, and is the Oregon Co-chair for the Initiative for Global Development (IGD), a nationwide alliance of private sector leaders who are working to make global poverty alleviation a high priority among national policymakers.

Bill Conerly, Economist, Conerly Consulting
Bill Conerly’s 20 years helping business managers better understand the economy have made him one of the best-known economic consultants in the Pacific Northwest. His projects have ranged from electronic commerce, to strategic planning, to public policy. He was previously Senior Vice President at First Interstate Bank, and holds a Ph.D. in economics from Duke University. Bill is co-author of Thinking Economics, a high school textbook in multimedia format. He has been quoted in Fortune Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal, and interviewed on The McNeil-Lehrer News Hour. Bill is chairman of the board of Cascade Policy Institute.

Marcus Ingle, Ph.D., Professor of Public Administration and Program Director of International Public Service
Dr. Marcus Ingle is Professor of Public Administration in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government and Director for Global Public Service for the Executive Leadership Institute at Portland State University. Dr. Ingle has extensive international experience, having recently directed the USAID Regional Infrastructure Program for Water and Sanitation in Southeast Europe with Booz Allen & Hamilton. He has worked with government, non-profit and business organizations around the world. Dr. Ingle is a specialist in leadership capacity building and management, including participatory and sustainability techniques for local government, infrastructure, and environmental programs. Dr. Ingle received his Ph.D. from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs, Syracuse University.

David McNamee, Chair of the BS in Business & Leadership program, Marylhurst University
David McNamee is an Associate Faculty and Chair of the BS in Business & Leadership program at Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Oregon. Previously, he was Director of the BS in Business program at Concordia University. Mr. McNamee's experience includes stints as a manager with the State of Oregon, a small business owner, middle school teacher, elected public official, and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. McNamee earned a BA in Communication at the University of Portland, a M.S. in International Relations at Syracuse University and is a PhD Candidate at Gonzaga University.

Erin Thomas
From 2005-2007 Erin managed the overall operations of the Global Envision website for Mercy Corps. Her diverse career includes experience in charitable giving for Federated Department Stores, management of political campaigns, and the development of community service programs for college students as a staff member for The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Erin has also served as a Community Builder Fellow for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as an Urban Community Development Volunteer for Peace Corps in Ecuador. Erin has a B.A. in International Economic Development from The George Washington University and an M.A. in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
