Global Envision is challenging you to enter our contest and compete with other students around the globe.


We are asking you to define globalization using the photo above as a starting point. It is up to you to transform the visual imagery into a clear and concise essay that elaborates upon what globalization means to you.

Share your answer with Global Envision by entering our essay contest and/or our Photo Contest. Winners will be published at www.GlobalEnvision.org.




Global Envision Contest Guidelines
Entries will be accepted December 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007. You may enter both the photo and the essay contest.

For the Essay Contest each person is allowed to enter:

- A 1,000-word essay




Global Envision Contest Rules

- Entries must be submitted in English.

- Entries more than 1,000 words will not be considered.

- Entries must be submitted by e-mail as a single attachment of a Microsoft Word or plain text document. It must include a cover page with submission information outlined below. Entries submitted as text in the body of an e-mail message will not be considered.

- Entries will be judged on originality, clear expression of ideas, presentation and understanding of the subject matter.

- All entries become of the property of Global Envision and may be published on the Global Envision Website and used in other Mercy Corps publications.

1st Prize: $500

The top 10 entries in each category will be published on the Global Envision website and receive a Global Envision t-shirt.
